After trolling for awhile I finally signed up. Great site!
I picked up a 550 in spring and am having alittle buyers remorse for not going with the 700. The performance out of the hole is just to soft for my taste. What would be the best for the $$ way to improve this without making it loud (pipe)
Would a clutch kit do the trick?
Has anyone compared the EPI kit vs the Fix Power Sports kit?
How about the EHS lid, exhaust and controller kit? I understand the EHS controller really drops the mpg. I don't want to lose much range out of my tank though.
Thanks in advance for others opinions.

Welcome to the site midwestgrizz, I would suggest you run it stock for a season then trade up to a 700 before piling a bunch of money into a smaller motor. Just my

Thanks for the replies.
BlingKing, I considered trading up. But I've got alot of cash in the accessories on her that I cannot remove ( hand & thumb warmers, rear light, winch, wired gps mount) and with the value of used machines being so low. I would have to cough up to much cash.
The midrange power and up is great for me stock. I just wanted more bottom end hit that I believe a clutch update would cure.
Wind Lake is 20 min SW of Milwaukee.
Triple J, I'll contact coop to see what the cost would be.
So with clutch work it is possible to gain on the bottom and not lose anything? As good as Yamaha is you'd think they would have these clutches tuned for absolute peak performance?

Mod#3 will help a bunch especially on the smaller bore machines, I have done my wife’s 450 grizzly, and it is much better on the bottom end.
Thanks
