Mr RPM was running 4.8's and I was running 5.3's this was at 330. He was the class act. I would like to see him race somebody that could give him a race. Nobody came close at 330 and the 1/8 (660) was even worse.

Wish I had seen this post earlier, first of all the 4 wheeler race was a joke, there was no organization what so ever and no turn out. And second no offense to MRRPM but I believe Kyle's camo Brute was about .15 FASTER to the 330', and around .1 slower to 660', not the blowout like you suggest, like I said nothing against Greg but you need to get your facts straight. Also I never saw you go any 5.3's to the 330', I was tuning my Brute and was only runnin 5.4-5.5 to 330' and everytime we ran I beat you.
There was no organization to the race at all, there was only 1 heads up class not like at big lick (divided by cc's and power adder) 4 bikes in heads up, and 6 in bracket, with 2 from heads up runnin bracket. The whole time we were under the impression that it was a 330' race but when the race started they changed to 660' which is fine but a little heads up would have been appreciated not as we were pullin up to dial. In heads up there were only 2 good races Greg and Kyle and me and Kelley, so the final was a power adder to no power adder.

The 4 wheeler race was a joke. We expected a lot more than 8 atvs to show up. They need a lot more to show for them to give atvs a time slot for racing. If they would have had a scheduale for 2 hours for atvs. They would have had 1 1/2 down time with just 8 we could have been done in 30 mins. Hopefully more will come next time. I think a lot are worried about the asphalt, we survived so maybe more will join in with us. We still had a good time getting together and talking though. I always like getting up with Kyle, we have been talking and racing a couple years now. He is a much better rider than me, his first pass on mine was better than me.
The times I posted above was in the last practice run me & Greg run about 7 pm. They were high 5.3s, but you beat me every time we raced. You got me off the line and I could not get it back. We was probably the 2 closest machines there. I sent you a pm with a update. Have a good one and hopefully see you at the next race. Mooresville is trying another atv event this Friday Oct.3 & Big Lick is Oct. 17 & 18.

Like BMK said it was not what we expected as far as turnout goes. Everyone says "I will be there" and nobody shows up, I can't do anything about that. I promoted this thing hard for well over 2 months, and everybody knew about it. And it was not unorganized! I was trying to wait for more people to show up so we could have a good race. If you can get more people to show up then I will be very happy, as well as the sponsors that are putting up the money for the points series were going to run next year. I already have sponsor money for the points pay-out and working on some others, but we need people to come out and at least make a showing so I can let my sponsors see that this is going to be worth the investment that they are making to this series. And I don't appreciate the way you bashed the race on this open forum. I want you to race with us but we can't have that trash talk on here about the turnout, or the so called "unorganization" that we had. If anything you need to be trying to help us all and get more quads to come out. I had one of my MAJOR sponsors there that night and he was a little disappointed about the turnout, but he was very happy with the type of bikes that showed and the speeds that you guys were running and he is still in 100% without any question. He knows it may take a few races for it to take off, but when it does it's going to be big. So please instead of bashing it because of the poor turnout, help us to get all the people there that we can so we can have some good racing. I was expecting 300+ cars there that day for my car show and LSX Shootout. 25 cars in the show and about 12-14 cars for the LSX Shootout. Those shootout guys wished there were more cars there to race, but if you go to there forum and see what they said about "having a good time" and "ready for the next one on November 8th" it made me happy. And some of those boys have got alot of money in some of those cars.(several thousand) I spent over $800.00 on trophies for that event, and $400.00 in flyers, ya think I was disapointed? Just a little. If it doesn't happen at my track it's not going to happen as far as the pay-outs are concerned, because all of the sponsors so far are from the mooresville/salisbury region, I have talked to a few others that are interested that are not local to here, but the big money is coming from my locals. So how about a little support, we need it from everyone that's going to run with the 3 tracks we are including in the point's next year. Mooresville, Uhwarrie, and Big Lick. And by the way, how much did you pay the man at the gate when you got there??? I took care of you, so help us all out and tell everyone about the racing we are going to have. We ARE racing this Friday night, gates open at 6:00, and if everyone will show up we will race for some CASH!!! Also the OUTLAW "MAD DAWGS" will be there doing some test and tune for Saturdays race. They run 4.30's or so, basically "Pro-Mods" without the extra $75,000-100,000.00 it takes to run 3.90's-4.00's Oh, OUTLAW Iroc, I got you and your boys covered at the gate just so you know there's no hard feeling's here, just need your support as well as everyone else's. Hope to see all of ya there Friday night. Now lets have some fun and have a race!!!! for directions go to www.mooresvilledragway.com

Donnie and Kelley there are no hard feelings here, but you can understand why I was upset. I felt like we were not given any "respect" for lack of a better word with the comments that were made about no one being able to give Greg a good race. If I had said no one could touch Kyle to the 330' I think you or Kelley or Greg would have been quick to reply simular to the way I did. Also you can understand our frustration after driving 1 1/2hrs with the turnout which we know you had no way of controlling. We appreciate you getting us in but we were told that that was for the first trip when we drove all but 10mins and had to turn around and go home because of the incident with the supra. My comments towards organization were directed towards the uncertainty of distance and classes. You are right with out everyone trying there will never be enough to make a series. Good luck with Friday's race.

OUTLAW, Believe me I understand you being frustrated about the turnout, but not nearly as frustrated as I was. I busted my butt for 2 months to try and make this event as big as I could. And if it weren't for sponsors for that weekend I would have lost about 3 grand. The car show that was earlier that day was terrible. There were supposed to be about 300 tuner cars show up for the show and about 200 of those jap traps were going to have a shootout. And about 50-75 late model gm cars and about that many mustangs were "coming for sure" for a late model gm-mustang shootout and you saw what was there. Not to mention the 40-60 quads that were coming. No spectators, not hardly anything. I had to apologize to all of my sponsors for the sh**y turnout(I didn't have to but thought I needed to and they didn't have a problem with it, as a matter of fact they are in for the show for next year) To be honest with you about what Kelley said I didn't pay enough attention to the races as you guys were running. I saw it but I see hundreds of passes down the track every time we are running, so all I can say about that is that Greg was the fastest bike there, by how much I don't have a clue. And yes I got you in for the problems last time, but I also did it because I want you guys to race with us next year, and hoping there were going to be more people there and see what a big 700lb. quad can run. Believe me you guys don't go unnoticed, you can ask Kelley about that! We are going to try this again on November 8th. During the day of course and I need everyone to come out for this one. We are going to have a meeting about next year. Classes, rules, everything we need to go over so when we get down to business next early spring we all will know what we can and can't do, race fee's, round money, points and ect... So EVERYONE start sending over suggestions and questions to me a.s.a.p. about any and everything. If you want to pm me stuff thats fine and I will post it here and keep it to myself if you ask, or put it right on this forum. And anyone that comes out this Friday night Oct. 3rd. and mentions points racer for next year at the gate will get in, and test and tune on me FREE FREE FREE!!!! Thanks guys and gals and lets get the comments and suggestions coming about next year. Donnie

The series will be starting soon. We had a meeting last nite with all 3 track owners. This will be a very well organized series. All 3 tracks will have payouts at every race and heads-up and bracket racing. Even talk about dirt bikes. There will be a get together at Big Lick in a few weeks for all interested for your ideas before rules and classes are finalized. Your input is very important, all input will be concidered. Also that same day there will be test & tune and a race like the one back in November. Stay tuned.

This is a sanctioned series. NCATVDRA I have a web site, it's not up yet I'm still working on stuff for it. www.ncatvdra.com Please plan on attending the meeting/race in a couple of weeks like BMK said, we want all of the racers input before we make a final decision on rules and classes. I promise you will be heard. Without all of you, this won't work. You will be racing for a purse at every race. You will also be racing for points for the championship in each class. Points will be kept up with and on my site, and at the end of the season we will have a banquet, winners of each class based on points accumulated throughout the year will get the BIG check! And some hardware for dust collecting, lol. Also some other goodies for some races, still in the works. Still room for some sponsorship of any type if anyone is interested pm me. Thanks and look forward to having a GREAT first season with the all new NCATVDRA!!! North Carolina ATV Drag Racing Association UTV's and Dirt bikes are also included in this association. Let's go race!

We have re-structured the classes so it makes the racing VERY close. We are putting the bikes in classes with the grouping being .3 tenths. example 4.40-4.70, 4.80-5.10, 5.20-5.50. Folks this has made for some VERY close racing, and it's all Pro-Tree Heads-up! We let everyone make 3 qualifying passes, then you bring me 1 time slip from the qualifying, and we group you from that. Groupings are different every weekend, according to track conditions. If it wasn't for the timing and scoring system, 95% of the passes we have run this year you wouldn't know who won! And if you are the slowest bike in your group, all it takes is a good reaction time and you can win! I had several holeshot wins last night! And last night we had 2 women win there class against all men! And 1 of them was on a holeshot! If you want to race for some cash, and have a good time, come on out and race. And bring your kids! This is for the whole family to come out and race, watch, and have a good time! We also have a 4 stroke unlimited and 2 stroke unlimited class. Only rule in these 2 classes you must run the same type motor that came on the bike, you CAN run any power adder, stretched swing arm, wheelie bar, big bore, anything you want as long as the motor is the same type that came stock on the bike. And we have 1 other class, Unlimited Outlaw. Run whatever you want on any type chassis. Broke a new track record last night in the Unlimited Outlaw class with a home built chassis and a GSXR1000 motor on it with a 30 shot of NOS, 3.66 in 300ft. at Big Lick. Go to ATVNC.com for more info. Thanks Donnie.
