1mm in the 450 with a clutch kit, 2mm no clutch kit. The 700/750 secondary spring does not fit the 450.

I am running 27 inch Bearclaws and the set-up I run is 19.5 gram weights, SZ10 EPI secondary spring, and 1 mm coop mod on my 450. Works great for me I found 2 mm was to much and I didn't like how the belt sat in the secondary, but every machine is different.
Cheers

Well I finally got the parts here and threw them in last night and went for a rip. 2mm shim, yellow secondary spring. Didn't mess with the weights....yet. The only thing I think I did wrong after reading the tech tips over again is when lining up the spring cap. I think we turned the spring the wrong way. We ended up spinning it tighter before and I think it needs to spin so you're loosening the spring if that makes sense. Any comment is appreciated. I felt a bit more bottom end although I was disappointed that it didn't give it more. I figured I'd be wheelieing no problem but in high it's still not that easy. Low range is pretty easy though. I lost 15 km/hr on the top end. Maxed out at 100km/h last night. Let me know what you think about that spring. I may have to change it since I didn't have the expected difference that every one is talking about.

Well Coop45 himself said he adapted the mod to the King Quad from what he'd done on snowmobile CVT's...

I am in the process right now of having an exchange sheave, you send me yours, I send you a machined sheave the same day yours shows up.
Or you can just buy the complete sheave with out an exchange.
Custom sheave cuts can be done... but I would not recommend anymore than 3mm.
PM me if you are interested.

Is the best setup the 2mm shim with no clutch kit on an 07 700? Are the shims tool steel or where can I buy them? Do I need a special tool to get the clutch pack out or can I do it with an impact gun?
