Another option for wiring your light is what I did. I tied my driving lights into the high beam wire behind the headlights. Only comes on when on high beam, works slick.

KingMe2. Yep, you have to just love camo. Can you post a photo of that bracket on the handguard. I would like to give it a try. Thanks,
David

How many 4x5 foot sheets did you use? Or was that the ATV kit? I'm still thinking on doing mine in the winter camo... just have questions about the durability of camoclad?

Triple J, I have not put anything on it for protection yet, I am still looking into what would be the best. Thanks for the advise on wiring the lights, I think I will try the high beam hook up.
Monzuki, I used 3 23"x5' pieces. I had to scrap some at the end. I would get a little more material if I did it over. I too am concerned about the durability of it. Only time will tell and I will let everyone know if it starts to come off. I am going to apply some sort of clear coat on it and see if that will help. So far so good though, it has held strong through 2 rides and it was raining and snowing during one of them pretty hard.
Here is a picture of the bracket Dave. Its just a flat piece of metal 3/4" x 1 3/4" with two holes drilled in it to join the handguard mounting bracket to the lights mounting bracket. Worked pretty slick, now I just need to wire them up.

Kingme2,
Glad I could help with the wiring, worked for me on 3 different machines so far.
Have you talked to any body shops around you to see what they recommend for protection? Might also contact your camo supplier, who would know better than them?

isn't there wiring by the front bumper for lights or is that for the horn? how maney sets of light could the King handle. I'd say i would go with 55Watts, another set on the bars and a set on the bumper,m WILL SHE TAKE IT OR MELT IT....

Well we know from Ssenays machine that it will take all kinds of electrical attachments, but remember the more electrical running the harder the charging system has to work, the less power you have, old days of racing shut off everything electrical even headlights if possible, made for some interesting racing

I was just plan for night ride, and in that case alittle power loss wouldn't be a bad idea. I only use the lowwer lights during day rides, i have had a bad one when some one come around a corner and the onlyy thing that saved him and my ass was i had my lights on..... something to think about when flying thought the trees... But i get what your saying i ripped all the lights off my 400ex for racing.

Here's a not so good picture of a black one with a VIP-Air windshield, 27" Mudlites and C-series rims. It just left the other day.

In action
Only the fairlead sticks out further back than the rearmost rack bar. With the winch out and front end lifted, nothing touches the ground before the rack bar. Winch can be stored in the dry box and a tow ring put in the receiver.
