Ok guys I went up on my roller weight to 24 grams, but mind you my fixed plate (Mod#2) has a slightly different cut to it as I cut down 20 mm, then bent it in 2.5mm.
I am running the Yellow EPI spring, standard setting on this (no additional twist)
Moveable sheave Mod#3.
Maxxis M980 & M979 Tires, 25's (second set)
High elev. wet clutch springs (thanks to Ruff Cut)
1/4 insulation heat tape on bottom of air box. (For just a touch cooler air temp)
Now we ran 72 miles in the mountains ranging from 6000 ft to 9500 ft.
I never used low range! And we were running through some pretty steep inclines.
Machine will still pull the front tires into a wheelie in high, and my house 4500 ft.
And for the good news! Gas mileage was increased from 22mpg to 26mpg!
Granted it wasn't as fun as the lighter rollers at 9000 ft, but it seemed to pull harder down in the lower elev. at 6000 to 8000 ft.
So overall this is a very good setting
Anyway that’s the scoop for now!

Thanks
Coop45

SGT_KQ,
I just noticed you have a Yoshi Pipe on yours. How does that bad boy run with that on there?

Coop45
Also when you list the roller weight are you giving the total weight of roller and sleeve or just roller so everyone is on the same track.

Panteramatt,
I know I did, but they make two versions of the Yoshi for the Kingquad. I don't exactly know the names of them, but you and SGT have the good one for the KingQuad that Yoshi makes. I saw and heard one on a KingQuad where I ride locally, and it sounded like complete crap. So I didn't know what version he had.

Yep! . Well, I just checked on Yoshi's site, and it only came up with the R-2 Stainless Pipe, but I remember my cousin telling me they made two kinds for the King. . He was probably right, they might have discontinued it, becuase the Yoshi that I heard where I went riding on a King sounded HORRIBLE! Yours sounds really good! And if SGT has the same one as yours, I bet it does as well.

Here is the S-2 Stainless I found on Yoshi's site.

Yeah, It looks pretty cool. I just noticed that it is made in the USA. . Its $350. I like it. I might get it for my KingQuad that I am going to build in the future. Don't know yet though. Either the HMF Penland that my dad has, or that one, that you have. I gotta stop copying your ideas though. . Black plastics, no logos. I gotta change something, becuase I remember you saying you like being different. So I might just have Black Plastics or Brushed Black Plastics, with the Logo's, and stickers, with a HMF Penland. . Here is a picture of what my dream King would look like. Its not exact, but something similar that I photo shopped the wheels and tires in. But I am going to get those wheels and tires for mine. So this is an estimated picture of what it will look like...

This is on a 450. Thats the only black one I could find in that angle to shop the tires and wheels in.
Mine is going to be a 700

Really? MountainKing had the BUB Big bore, and it was really really quiet, and he said it wasn't giving him much power. He said his HMF Swamp Series XL really unleashed his King!
