Hi, yes 1/2 a liter in 275 km is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much. That works out to 1 liter in 550 km (or about 300 miles). I have a 05 King with 4000 km on it and it doesn't use any oil between changes (every 800 - 1000 km) so something isn't right. There will be other s on the forum that will chime in with suggestions.....

Oh and welcome to the site!

Are you running the original paper filter? Is the engine exhaust smokey or blue?

Have you done a compression test? That will tell a great deal.
