Does anybody out there have an opinion or have experience with ITP's holeshot radial tires? Are they an all round good tire? How do they compare to the stock Dunlops? I mainly use my quad for hunting, ice fishing and some trail riding. I actually try and avoid mudholes. Reason I ask is that I can pick up a set of 4 for $200. Zero miles. Cheers.

I'd get on that deal right away. I really liked mine when I had them, worked well for snow and ice and great on hard pack trails (I plowed a lot of snow too). I only purchased my Maxxis 4-speeds because I bought them slightly used at a real good price, I think $150.00 for a set of four.

They will work well for what you want to do.

The Holeshot is a great tire for what you are saying..

If you have the chance to pick up them for $200.. GET THEM!

Good Luck!

I ordered a set of 26x12 Holeshot ATR tires on STI XB40 wheels. I've been looking for something that would work on both Brutes and was lighter and better handling than the Bighorns, but still was fairly tough. My budget was around $650 for tires & wheels. I love the Bighorns for desert and mountain riding but they have an annoying high-speed "push" on slick hard pack corners.

I started out looking at 25" Terracross but they weight almost as much as the Horns - 92.4 vs. 94.8 ib. Considered Ceros 26x12s just beause they look great and were in my price range but they're even heavier at 102 lb. The ATRs are 82 lb. I'll weigh the mounted tires/wheels and post a picture when I get them.

I finally got a couple of rides on the ATRs and I really like them. IMO they are a great tire for dry hardpack trails with sand, gravel, or small rocks. Cornering and traction are great compared to Bighorns - no more push in high speed corners. 12 to 15 lbs lighter for a little more perfomance, too. I'll use the BHs on extremely rocky, rough trails.

These are 26x12 and are just a hair taller than my 25 in. Bighorns. 25 in. ATRs would have been too short for me.

Not quite as much sidewall & bead protection as the Bighorns but a fine trail tire, especially if you're after a performance-oriented tire. Not bad looking either!
