I picked this up at another forum, this post was from Alltoys. This is for the EFI Brutes he is calling it a CDI but means ECU.

New test results on the VDI CDI for the Brute Force are excellent. Dyno runs show 6 hp on bottom end, 3 hp in mid range and 5 hp on top end. This is on a completely stock machine, stock exhaust. Further testing will be done on other exhaust systems later this coming week.

Also for those of you have a CDI from Velocity Devices with the changeable harness that is rated for the early Brute Force. Can order a new harness for the EFI Brute down load the new firm ware and you are good to go.

A big savings to those of you who already have the carb version Brute Force CDI with changeable harness from Velocity Devices.

For those of you with Big Bore on your mind you can have a fully tunable CDI. No more key or module to fumble with.

It is not on the market as of yet still has to be run hard from the Beta Testers. Should be before full summer hits.

I def ran it hard last weekend and love the power increase. IMHO it feels more than a 3hp mid range increase. Def worth it!

Another beta tester here and WOW - if you thought it was hard to keep the front end down before - HANG ON if you plug the VDI in
It took off about .5 seconds in my 300' time compared to stock so if that doesn't tell you somethin.... Stock it went 7.05 seconds (best time out of 4) and the 1st run with it I did 6.54 Other times were between 6.6 and 6.8 but either the front end was up in the air for half the run or the tires were spinning
Stay tuned...and yeah the pic below was last month before the VDI - fun stuff!

More news - Went on a 135 mile ride yesterday - awesome conditions if you like 40 degree temps and 40 mph winds LOL. Maybe things were just right but my GPS recorded a top speed of 67.8 MPH with the VDI under the seat Stock I usually saw 59 or 60...I know every Brute is a little different just like most wheelers - I read posts of stock Brutes going 70 but is that with a GPS?...Anyway still have a couple minor issues to work out but testing is on full steam

here in the north I saw a good increase in power as well
stock 100 meter 6.46 sec - VDI 6.06 sec - then with Muzzy & VDI 5.89 sec
had some issues with stalling when warm but Lyle sent me new firmware to sort out these problems but haven't had a chance to upload yet, when I was riding it stalled so often I put the stock unit back in & she felt as though I lost one hole with the stock cdi. Me thinks today as the weather here has turned to Feburary conditions @ -4c & roughly 3 inches of snow from 17c on saturday.
Hopfully Lyles new firmware fixes the qwirks as this thing will now stay with a stock gade & a piped & chipped outty!!!!!
Will let you know on the new firmware ASAP
Gord

chuck 700, i had 2 brutes 05,06 & i no they were faster than that.
I also had a outy 800 & i hit 76.97 on gps with my girly freind & a cargo box on back.i would think the brute with a vdi, it would have to be close to that

Kawidude - yes the VDI gives you all the settings you would need to adjust - timing - accel enrichment at any rpm - download a manual for an existing one from their site - pretty much limitless settings.

ST222 - trust me I wish mine was faster than that - my King Quads were faster-not by much - not any where near quicker though- stock. Every bike is different- maybe I got a dud or something but have read of other guys that have similiar stock results for top speed on 08's and 09's- I just stated the facts with the results with mine...I'm sure more guys will post results the more that get out there....

Kawidude - From what I heard - we're gonna be a lot closer to the Outty 800 (09) don't quote me on that because I didn't do the racin- if we can just keep the front end down - Lyle might have to include wheelie bars with each one It's nuts!!

I'm not the boss but I would think that after this week she's gonna be ready 1 or 2 more little issues that I think we cured last night or hope to by today but will be running it hard this weekend to get some final time on it- hope to do 200-300 miles between Friday/Saturday if plans fall together
